Our Benefits Management system is designed
to encompass your entire benefit plan offering.


Core (Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental and Vision) -

  • Medical, Dental and Vision benefits make up the initial display,
  • A customizable review screen offers summary level descriptions of each available option.
  • Further comparisons can be built in as a downloadable PDF and viewed immediately.

Basic (Life, AD&D, and LTD) — All benefits will be available on the system, even benefits that do not require an election by the employee.

  • Eligibility and class rules are built in so an employee will only see benefits that pertain to them.
  • Appropriate rounding rules and maximums are integrated displaying exact benefit amounts for Life and Disability plans.
  • Links to carrier's site and SPD's are displayed within the site.
  • Employees are prompted to designate primary and contingent beneficiaries from a pre-populated list or new entry.
  • Free form entries are accepted for employees with wills and trusts already established.

Voluntary Plans (Life, AD&D, Disability, LTC, etc) — The purpose of the system is to have all benefits in the system. If desired, EBenefits will assist in vendor selection to achieve this goal.

  • EBenefits will work with any carrier able to accept electronic data returns to integrate their benefit plan into the system.
  • Summary reviews, links to carrier sites and SPD's are available
  • Incorporated eligibility, rounding, maximums and EOI prompts.
  • If applicable, employee's beneficiaries are requested and captured within the system.

Contributory Plans (Retirement, Dependent Care FSA, and Medical FSA)

  • Customizable review screens will greet the employee as they open up each option.
  • Current contributions will be displayed along with a projection tool to determine savings goals.
  • Employees will only see plans for which they are eligible.
  • Links to vendors' sites will provide additional information.
  • Beneficiary designation is available for retirement plans.

Data Files and Transmissions

The most important element of supporting an effective portal for employee benefits is the ability to transmit the data and transactions that have been captured in the portal. The keys to this success are accuracy of data files and timeliness of transmissions. EBenefits delivers on both fronts.

Here are a few key differentiators and attributes:

  • Our HIPAA compliant data transfers, which are supported by Microsoft BizTalk Servers, provide seamless integration with your HRIS, third party administrators, carriers, and other vendors.Our interface team works directly with your IT staff to load EBenefits with all relevant employee data, including both HRIS and payroll data. Once your data is in place, we develop, test and implement feeds to carriers and third party administrators on your behalf. Our preferred format for carriers/TPAs is a standard EDI HIPAA 834 transaction, but we can accommodate any requirements.
  • All of our interfaces can be configured as full or partial file transmissions on pre-set schedules.
  • All files are transmitted via FTP with PGP encryption providing all parties with confidence that their information is handled safely and securely.
